Ms. Henderson was born September 24, 1980, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, daughter of Betty Lynn Hayes Crouch and the late Steve Lamar Ingle. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and had previously been employed as a nurse at Hayes State Prison. Burial will be in the Winner City Cemetery in Winner, SD. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. At the First Christian Church in Winner, SD. Burial will be held at a later date. Pam is also survived by her mother and sister Paula Fire Bruce plus her two nieces, Dawn Bruce Clark and family and Kari Bruce Ott and family. Elsie was a homemaker, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Elsie was born on February 15, 1925 on the family farm in the Winner area to parents John and Barbara Meister.

His call to ministry started when attending the Egan United Methodist Church at the age of 43. Several Egan Church ladies asked Val to teach their adult Sunday School Class. He loved and continued teaching God’s Word, revealed through the Bible. Later the members of the Egan church encouraged Val to attend seminary and become a pastor.
He decided to try a “town job” for a while and worked at the Gas N Git and Farmers Coop. His love of being a ‘Cowboy” sent him back to the country, this time to the Stromer Ranch, where he spent 20 plus years doing what he loved. Tenney and Iva Brown were married on Aug. 11, 1958. To this union three sons were born, Tenney Eugene , Ronnie and Gary. Shortly after marriage Tenney and Iva moved to Deadwood where he was employed with the Homestake Gold Mine. After a few years they returned home to the ranch northeast of White River. Ranching, raising boys and life being tough, Tenney and Iva decided to lease the ranch and move to White River. Over the years he worked for local ranchers, George England, Lawrence and Ronnie Krogman and Bob Derry.
Also holding a special place in Jerry’s heart were AnnieKate and Jake Burghduff. Val spent his days on the farm after graduating from St Mary’s in Dell Rapids and then Dakota State in Madison. Before he even saw it, God’s grace was apparent in his life. On Sept. 10, 1977, he married Teresa Molskness, and they recently celebrated their 45th anniversary.
